Contour Software, a rapidly growing subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc., is seeking an experienced SQA Analyst to join its Karachi office. The successful candidate will work as part of the resource-center team supporting the division-based R&D department, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software releases through both manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts to ensure software quality.
- Utilize Playwright and other testing frameworks for browser automation.
- Analyze test results and report defects effectively.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Participate in test planning, design, and documentation.
- Use version control systems such as Git to manage test scripts and related assets.
- Support Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes.
- Select appropriate HTML elements using CSS selectors, XPath, and other methods for automation.
- Maintain attention to detail and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills related to QA methodologies and tools.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, maintaining a positive and professional attitude under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automated software testing.
- Proficiency in Playwright for browser automation and familiarity with other testing frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment workflows.
- Ability to identify and select HTML elements using various selectors (CSS, XPath, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new QA techniques and improve technical expertise.
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
