Devsinc is seeking a dedicated Software QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in manual testing, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of software testing processes within Agile environments. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure software quality before each release.
- Participate actively in test planning, requirement analysis, and sprint activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test scenarios and reports.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing as applicable.
- Assist in enhancing QA processes, testing strategies, and automation practices.
- Ensure that software applications meet established quality standards and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality software.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in manual testing and test case design.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Skilled in bug reporting and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with project management and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is considered a plus.
