Devsinc is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to help maintain the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual testing, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of software testing processes within Agile environments. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software releases meet business requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Verify bug fixes and validate software quality before product releases.
- Participate actively in test planning, requirement analysis, and sprint activities within Agile teams.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test scenarios and test reports.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing as applicable to ensure consistent user experience.
- Assist in enhancing QA processes, testing strategies, and automation practices to improve efficiency.
- Ensure software applications comply with quality standards and meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in manual testing and test case design.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Skilled in bug reporting and defect tracking using tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic experience with Git and version control systems.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is considered a plus.
