Devsinc is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, a solid understanding of software testing processes, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure software quality prior to release.
- Participate actively in test planning, requirement analysis, and sprint activities within Agile teams.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test scenarios and test reports.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing where applicable to ensure broad compatibility.
- Assist in refining QA processes, testing strategies, and automation practices to improve overall quality.
- Ensure that software applications meet established quality standards and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality software.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in manual testing and test case design.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Proficiency in bug reporting and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with project management and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is considered a plus.
