SQA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing end-to-end testing activities, effectively communicating with clients, and actively contributing to process improvements within an Agile environment. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring software quality through thorough testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review business requirements, technical specifications, and design documents to provide clear and actionable feedback.
- Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and use cases.
- Independently estimate, prioritize, and execute testing tasks within sprint timelines.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
- Perform comprehensive regression, integration, and system testing.
- Conduct API testing and validate integrations between systems.
- Execute database validations using SQL queries.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Monitor debugging results and verify defect resolutions.
- Analyze root causes of defects and recommend preventive improvements.
- Track and report QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect trends.
- Contribute to enhancing QA processes and testing standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong command of English for effective communication with clients.
- Proven experience in writing structured and detailed use cases.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting for database validations.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Trello, and Shortcut.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is an advantage.
- Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium or Cypress is desirable.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs120,000 to Rs150,000.
