SQA Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our team at Softmatic Solutions, located in Garden Town, Lahore. This is a full-time, onsite position with working hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Preference will be given to graduates from reputable universities such as PUCIT, UMT, FAST, NUST, FC, or COMSATS. As part of our team, you will contribute to maintaining the high quality of our diverse software products, which include applications and games developed using Xamarin, Cocos2d, Unity, Flutter, Native Android, and Native iOS, as well as WordPress, .NET solutions, and Power BI for business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing on websites and applications to ensure functionality and usability.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand new features and requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Ensure that software products are free from bugs and perform efficiently across multiple platforms.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and comprehensive documentation.
- Conduct regression, functional, and performance testing as required.
- Communicate test results and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, specifically manual testing.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile methodologies, and Waterfall model.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Preferably a graduate from one of the following universities: PUCIT, UMT, FAST, NUST, FC, or COMSATS.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with bug-tracking tools to efficiently report and manage defects.
- Familiarity with automation testing is considered a plus.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages is advantageous.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
