SQA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the process.
- Write detailed test cases derived from business and technical requirements, use cases, and design documentation.
- Conduct both black box and white box testing, coordinating the QA process by tracking defects and managing release cycles.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios and cases to validate product functionality.
- Maintain focus and effectively prioritize a demanding workload while consistently delivering high-quality results.
- Lead initiatives to improve QA processes, aiming to enhance quality and reduce testing cycle times.
- Implement Software Quality Assurance (SQA) lifecycle practices for assigned projects.
- Report test outcomes and quality metrics to management.
- Perform security testing, including penetration testing, to identify vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum development teams to align testing efforts with iterative releases.
- Conduct REST API testing to ensure backend services meet specifications.
- Utilize strong SQL and relational database skills to validate data integrity and backend processes.
- Stay current with emerging testing tools and technologies to continuously enhance testing practices.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with hands-on testing of web and mobile applications.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, actively contributing to product development and technical architecture discussions.
- A start-up mindset characterized by curiosity, intelligence, and proactivity.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet project deadlines effectively.
- Solid project management, organizational, and planning capabilities.
