We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer who is committed to ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining product quality throughout the software development lifecycle by identifying issues early and ensuring that solutions meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing on web and desktop applications to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Create and maintain API and integration tests to verify seamless communication between components.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing to confirm software stability and performance.
- Assist in building and enhancing test automation frameworks to increase testing efficiency and reliability.
- Support the integration of automated tests within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and QA to uphold quality standards and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Between 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Practical experience with at least one automation testing tool such as Playwright or Selenium.
- Proficient in API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Basic programming skills in Python or C# to support automation efforts.
- Experience using Git for version control and collaboration.
