SQA Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Intern to join our development team in Islamabad. This entry-level internship is designed for fresh graduates or final-year students who have a passion for software testing and quality assurance. The role focuses on supporting the quality, functionality, and performance of both web and mobile applications through manual testing, basic automation, and AI-assisted QA practices. The intern will gain exposure to modern testing methodologies and AI-powered tools aimed at improving testing efficiency while maintaining high software quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to verify functionality and usability.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases, documenting software defects clearly and accurately.
- Conduct functional, regression, and user interface (UI) testing to ensure application stability.
- Assist with API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to generate test cases, identify issues, and enhance testing efficiency.
- Support basic test automation tasks under the supervision of experienced team members.
- Collaborate closely with developers to verify bug fixes and ensure effective resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation, including test results and bug reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and overall QA efficiency.
- Review and validate AI-generated test cases and recommendations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Research emerging AI-driven QA technologies and suggest practical enhancements to current testing workflows.
- Contribute to reducing testing turnaround time while upholding software quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Fresh graduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Interest in AI-powered QA tools, software testing methodologies, and test automation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman.
- Familiarity with SQL and bug-tracking tools.
- Experience or familiarity with AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT.
- Basic understanding of automation testing is a plus but not mandatory.
