SQA Intern

WhiteBox is seeking an enthusiastic SQA Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in software quality assurance to gain hands-on experience in manual testing, executing test cases, reporting bugs, and understanding software testing processes. The role is designed to help interns develop practical skills while contributing to the quality of our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on both web and mobile applications to ensure functionality and usability.
- Execute detailed test cases and identify bugs or issues during the testing process.
- Report and track defects efficiently using bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to confirm stability after updates.
- Understand project requirements and functional specifications to align testing efforts accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to maintain high product quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive test cases, reports, and related documentation.
- Conduct various types of testing including functional, UI, smoke, and regression testing.

Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of manual testing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Knowledge of the bug life cycle and defect management processes.
- Experience or exposure to bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and documentation skills to clearly report findings.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman is advantageous.
- Exposure to load and stress testing with tools such as JMeter is a plus.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium will be considered beneficial.
- This internship is structured to potentially transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
- The position is onsite with working hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- The pay range for this internship is Rs25,000 to Rs30,000 per month.
- The work location is hybrid remote based in Lahore, offering some flexibility.
