Key Responsibilities
As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Trainee, you will be an integral part of the QA team, executing tasks aligned with test plans throughout the software development lifecycle. Your role includes supporting the development team by helping create and execute test cases that verify new features and defect fixes meet quality standards. You will assist in developing and adhering to quality assurance methodologies while gaining practical experience through training and apprenticeship. This position offers the potential for full-time employment at the Karachi office. You will actively participate in identifying system complexities, evaluating weaknesses, and documenting findings to improve software reliability.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates in Computer Science and Software Engineering are encouraged to apply. A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance/testing concepts is essential. Proficiency in programming or scripting is required, with a preference for Object-Oriented Programming skills. Experience in writing and executing SQL queries is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, are important. Candidates must be capable of evaluating systems, understanding complexities, and identifying bottlenecks or weaknesses.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Competencies
Knowledge of automation testing tools is an advantage. Familiarity with different application types and architectures will be beneficial. Attention to detail, along with skills in data collection, management, and analysis, is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate strong planning, organizing, judgment, and decision-making abilities. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is essential. An energetic and proactive “can-do” attitude will help you thrive in this role.
