Sr. Delivery Manager - Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals

We are looking for an experienced IT Delivery Leader to manage and ensure the successful execution of a diverse portfolio of technology projects. Candidates with a background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector are highly preferred. This role demands a strategic and delivery-focused leader who excels in client engagement, possesses a thorough understanding of enterprise IT delivery models, and can effectively build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and manage delivery roadmaps, resource allocation plans, and performance metrics across various workstreams.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including clients, vendors, and onshore resources, to promote accountability and proactively resolve delivery challenges.
- Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, SDLC/Agile methodologies, and regulatory requirements, including GxP where applicable.
- Advocate for and integrate AI technologies within the project SDLC to enhance delivery efficiency.
- Identify potential delivery risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project continuity.
- Act as the primary liaison for senior client stakeholders, building trust and maintaining credibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand client business objectives, industry challenges, and strategic goals to recommend solutions aligned with their value drivers.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication and ensure alignment at all project stages.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and status reports, translating complex technical details into clear business insights.
- Provide strong leadership to project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and QA teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Mentor team members, encourage continuous improvement, and cultivate a culture focused on delivery excellence.
- Support talent planning, capability development, and motivation across distributed teams.
- Oversee portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial controls to ensure fiscal responsibility.

Required Qualifications

- 15 to 18 years of experience in IT project or program delivery, with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-project portfolios.
- Extensive experience within the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Demonstrated expertise managing large-scale enterprise technology initiatives such as digital transformation, cloud migration, data platform implementation, and application development.
- Strong client stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at the executive level.
- In-depth knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies, along with IT governance frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional, global delivery teams in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.
