Sr. Dot Net Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Software Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative technology solutions across AI, IoT, mobile, data platforms, and cloud-native systems. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, drive architecture standards, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. This role involves overseeing project execution, fostering innovation through R&D partnerships, and managing a skilled engineering team to deliver cutting-edge software solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership:
Design comprehensive end-to-end architectures for AI solutions, IoT platforms, mobile applications, data platforms, and cloud-native environments. Develop architecture diagrams, data models, API specifications, and cloud infrastructure plans. Define security and compliance frameworks to support scalable systems. Evaluate emerging technologies to align with research and development objectives. Establish and enforce architecture standards and best practices across projects.

Project Oversight & Delivery Management:
Act as the technical lead and solution owner for software development initiatives. Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to break down requirements and define technical scope and architecture approaches. Estimate effort and guide sprint planning. Ensure adherence to code quality, security protocols, and DevOps best practices. Oversee AI model governance and system integration strategies.

R&D & Innovation Enablement:
Partner with research teams to translate innovative concepts into technical architectures. Support technical components of grant proposals and innovation initiatives. Prototype new ideas through rapid experimentation and proof of concepts. Evaluate new frameworks, tools, and platforms to drive innovation programs. Champion the adoption of emerging technologies in product development.

System Design & Integration:
Architect scalable cloud-native and microservices-based systems with API-first and event-driven designs. Define data platform architectures and integration strategies to ensure system scalability, reliability, and optimized performance. Implement secure system integration across diverse platforms.

Security & Compliance Governance:
Ensure architecture compliance with relevant security standards such as HIPAA and NIST. Define secure authentication, authorization, and data protection models. Implement risk mitigation strategies within system designs. Enforce cloud security and DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Team Management & Leadership:
Manage and oversee the performance of engineering and architecture teams. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members. Allocate resources effectively and balance workloads across projects. Conduct performance reviews and support career development plans. Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet architecture standards and delivery timelines.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Engage with clients, government partners, universities, and internal teams to present technical architectures in an accessible manner. Validate solution feasibility and scalability with cross-functional stakeholders. Provide ongoing technical guidance to engineering and product teams.

Technical Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Document architecture designs and key technical decisions. Prepare architecture guidelines and reusable frameworks. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain architecture standards and governance documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software architecture or senior engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML, or SageMaker.
- Experience working with IoT ecosystems and edge computing technologies.
- Strong expertise in API and microservices architecture.
- Experience developing mobile applications and data platforms.
- Proven leadership in managing software development teams.
- Deep understanding of scalability, security, and system integration patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with healthcare systems and compliance standards such as HIPAA and FDA regulations.
- Background in architecting AI systems for real-time data processing or predictive analytics.
- Experience working within R&D or innovation-driven environments.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or PMP.
