Sr. Expert Procurement Systems

The Senior Expert – Procurement Systems role at Telenor Shared Services Pakistan is a critical position responsible for the administration, configuration, development, and operation of the Coupa platform. Reporting to the Head of Coupa DevOps and based in Islamabad, this role ensures the platform is managed according to best practices, business needs, and customer expectations. The position demands a strong understanding of Coupa, Functional DevOps, and Agile methodologies, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other platform groups. The incumbent will lead efforts to maintain platform stability, data quality, and continuous improvement while driving process enhancements and operational efficiency through AI and automation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain the Coupa platform, ensuring day-to-day operational stability, configuration accuracy, and adherence to established standards and controls.
- Manage user administration including roles, permissions, groups, and access in line with business requirements and security policies.
- Perform master data administration to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across relevant Coupa modules.
- Conduct regular system housekeeping, platform health checks, and administrative controls to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Analyze change requests and configuration updates from a functional and administrative perspective, assessing impacts, dependencies, and risks.
- Recommend and implement process, configuration, and platform improvements to enhance usability, efficiency, and user experience.
- Provide analytics and operational insights to support monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous platform improvement.
- Support incident management, testing, release activities, and change implementation to ensure minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with business, integration, ERP, and technical teams to resolve complex issues, deliver enhancements, and promote standardization across business units.
- Take ownership of system governance, lifecycle management, security, risk, compliance, and vendor management related to the Coupa platform.
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities for automation and operational efficiency within procurement and enterprise application environments.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field with a functional understanding of Financials or Supply Chain Management processes. Alternatively, a degree in Finance, CA, or ACCA with relevant ERP implementation experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in ERP or procurement technology implementation, preferably including Source-to-Pay (S2P), Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions, and Coupa platform administration.
- Proven experience in process design, system configuration, testing, change management, production support, and end-user training.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, invoicing, and integrations.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and the ability to work across multiple time zones and diverse cultures.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and perform duties during public holidays, shifts, and off-days.
