Sr. Expert Procurement Systems

The Senior Expert – Procurement Systems role at Telenor Shared Services Pakistan is a critical position focused on the administration, configuration, development, and operation of the Coupa platform. Reporting to the Head of Coupa DevOps, this role ensures the platform is managed according to best practices, business needs, and customer expectations. The position demands a strong understanding of Coupa, Functional DevOps methodologies, and Agile practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other platform groups. The role supports Telenor’s cloud-based spend management solution, integrating with global ERP systems, and drives continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and platform stability.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of day-to-day administration and operational management of the Coupa platform, ensuring stability, data quality, and compliance with standards and controls.
- Manage Coupa user administration, including roles, permissions, groups, and access, aligned with business requirements and security policies.
- Perform master data administration and maintenance to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Conduct regular system housekeeping, platform health checks, and administrative control activities to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Analyze and process change requests and configuration updates from a functional and administrative perspective, assessing impacts, dependencies, and risks.
- Recommend and implement process, configuration, and platform improvements to enhance usability, efficiency, and user experience.
- Provide analytics and operational insights to support platform monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the identification, prioritization, and resolution of high-severity and complex platform issues by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ensure platform governance, lifecycle management, security, risk, compliance, and vendor management responsibilities are upheld.
- Collaborate with business, integration, ERP, and technical teams to analyze complex issues, deliver enhancements, and drive standardization across business units.
- Support testing, release, and change management activities, validating configurations and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Act as a Coupa subject matter expert in governance and operational forums, promoting standardization and identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Utilize practical experience with AI, Generative AI, and automation to identify and implement AI-driven process improvements within Coupa or related procurement environments.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in IT, Computer Sciences, or a related field, with a functional overview of Financials or Supply Chain Management processes. Alternatively, a degree in Finance, CA, or ACCA with relevant ERP implementation experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in ERP or procurement technology implementation, preferably including Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions and Coupa platform administration.
- Proven expertise in Coupa administration, process design, system configuration, testing, change management, production support, and end-user training.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes such as sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, invoicing, and integrations.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and diverse cultures, including availability during public holidays, shifts, and off-days.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
