We are seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to oversee and manage comprehensive international logistics operations, with a primary focus on U.S. import shipments. This full-time, on-site position based in Karachi requires coordination of ocean freight, drayage, road transportation, customs clearance, and shipment documentation to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in working closely with overseas vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize the supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations specifically for U.S. import shipments.
- Manage various transportation modes including ocean freight, drayage, full truckload (FTL), less than truckload (LTL) road freight, and customs clearance procedures.
- Proactively track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or transit issues.
- Liaise effectively with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and international vendors to maintain smooth operations.
- Address and resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation and transit-related challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and HS codes.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and operations teams to align shipment schedules with business needs.
- Review freight costs regularly and recommend opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare detailed shipment status updates and logistics performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance logistics processes.
- Be available for coordination across different time zones as required to support international operations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, with a focus on international shipments.
- Proven experience managing U.S. import shipments and familiarity with related customs procedures.
- Strong understanding of freight terms, international shipping documentation, and customs clearance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with overseas vendors, freight partners, and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and efficient interactions.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or logistics management software is considered an advantage.
