Sr. PHP / Laravel Developer

CHROMEIS is looking for a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join its Engineering Team. This role involves developing scalable applications, APIs, and custom systems that support core services such as web hosting, VPS, reseller hosting, app development, SEO, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Laravel and backend development, a strong grasp of system architecture, and the ability to design secure, optimized, and future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development & Architecture:
Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level applications using PHP with the Laravel framework. Develop and manage RESTful APIs for hosting panels, billing systems, and client dashboards. Architect systems that are secure, scalable, and optimized for high performance. Ensure code is modular, reusable, well-documented, and adheres to industry standards.

Systems Integration:
Integrate applications with payment gateways, CRMs, and hosting environments such as cPanel, WHM, and VPS APIs. Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain applications in cloud and VPS hosting environments. Support integrations between Chromeis products and third-party SaaS platforms.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Debug, test, and resolve complex backend issues. Provide Level 3 engineering support for escalated technical problems. Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and database optimization to maintain system health.

Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, product managers, and QA. Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Participate in technical discussions to influence product architecture and engineering standards.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Research and propose new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance engineering efficiency. Contribute to automation efforts, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization strategies. Lead initiatives focused on system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
4 to 6 years of backend development experience with PHP, specifically using the Laravel framework. Proven experience building scalable systems, APIs, and integrating with cloud or VPS hosting platforms. Strong skills in database design and optimization using MySQL or PostgreSQL. Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.

Skills:
Proficient in PHP 8, Laravel 9/10, REST APIs, MySQL, and object-oriented programming principles. Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular for integration purposes. Skilled in using Git/GitHub, testing frameworks, and agile development methodologies. Knowledgeable about server security, caching strategies, and performance optimization. Experience working in cloud hosting environments including AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar VPS providers.
