Sr. SharePoint and Power Platform Developer

The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications and services that are critical to commercial and business processes. This role requires strong technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both change initiatives and ongoing operational activities. The Senior Developer ensures solution quality, performance, security, and maintainability while promoting continuous improvement and engineering best practices. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position serves as a technical reference within delivery teams and collaborates closely with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects, and fellow developers to deliver scalable and robust solutions aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into effective technical implementations.
- Support integration between enterprise systems, services, and platforms.
- Deliver enhancements, new features, and technical improvements as part of change initiatives.
- Manage and deliver assigned Jira tickets, ensuring clarity, technical soundness, and timely completion.
- Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Engage in operational support activities such as incident analysis, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
- Balance delivery efforts between change initiatives and production stability, driving continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex incidents and recurring defects, implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Share responsibility for the stability, performance, and reliability of production systems.
- Provide guidance on operational support practices, including monitoring, incident management, and production readiness.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across production and development environments.
- Collaborate on solution design and technical decision-making within delivery teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and SMEs to refine backlog items, ensuring feasibility and alignment with platform priorities.
- Identify and address technical debt to improve maintainability and system stability.
- Support the definition and enforcement of development standards and operational best practices.
- Ensure code quality through adherence to standards, peer reviews, and compliance with security and governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams solutions, including custom SPFx web parts and PnP Provisioning templates.
- Design and implement Power Platform solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Pages.
- Build robust workflows and automations with Power Automate, incorporating error handling, logging, and retry strategies.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 services and support cross-platform collaboration using connectors and REST APIs.
- Develop and consume Azure Functions and Logic Apps for backend processing and integrations.
- Create secure custom connectors using OAuth2 and Azure AD App Registrations.

Required Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in enterprise software development and delivering business-critical applications.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and platforms.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and APIs.
- Experience with modern development practices including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions while balancing delivery priorities and technical quality.
- Awareness of enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards.
