Sr Test Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team based in Hyderabad. The role focuses on functional and manual testing of Finacle Loan Origination System (LOS) applications within the banking and financial services domain. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage of lending workflows, from customer onboarding through post-disbursement validations. This position requires a strong understanding of loan origination processes and the ability to validate complex integrations and data flows across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional and manual testing of Finacle LOS and Loan Origination applications.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate complete lending workflows including customer onboarding, loan application creation, KYC and document verification, eligibility assessment, credit bureau checks, credit appraisal, underwriting, approval and deviation workflows, sanctioning, collateral/security details, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement validations.
- Conduct positive, negative, boundary, and exception scenario testing to ensure robustness of the application.
- Validate integrations between Finacle LOS, Core Banking systems, external APIs, credit bureaus, KYC systems, document management systems, and other downstream applications.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman where applicable.
- Validate data flow between LOS and integrated systems to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct database/backend validation using SQL queries as required.
- Verify lending-related financial and accounting entries generated through transactions.
- Log, track, retest, and close defects using defect-management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with development, business, and functional teams to resolve issues.
- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production/release validation phases.

Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing within the banking domain.
- Proven experience working with Finacle LOS or Finacle Origination systems.
- Solid understanding of the Loan Origination System and the end-to-end lending lifecycle.
- Experience testing lending products and workflows.
- Ability to write and execute detailed test cases and scenarios based on business requirements.
- Familiarity with defect management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman is preferred.
