Sr.BI Developer

Splash Business Intelligence is a leading provider of data reporting and analytics software, delivering innovative solutions to help organizations make data-driven decisions. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Business Intelligence professional with extensive experience in SQL, Python, and BI tools to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop new ELT/ETL processes while modifying and optimizing existing workflows to ensure efficient data integration.
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Build data processing, automation, and analytics solutions using Python to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and visualization solutions primarily using Power BI and other relevant tools.
- Analyze business data to extract actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to understand and translate reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all reporting and analytical deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and optimization to increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, documentation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables, driving them to completion with a focus on speed and quality.
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise with SQL and readiness to work with multiple database platforms including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL, Fabrics, and Redshift as needed.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a strong emphasis on execution and results.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query writing, optimization, and data analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI and data visualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Proven ability to effectively leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and solution delivery.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
- Self-driven with a proactive attitude, strong ownership mentality, and ability to deliver high-quality results quickly.
- Experience working within agile teams and adapting to evolving project requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Insights

- Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) applications such as Workday, ADP, Ultipro, UKG, Oracle Cloud HCM, and SuccessFactors is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of data lakes, lakehouses, and modern analytics platforms will be beneficial.
- Experience working in SaaS, HR Tech, or product-based organizations is a plus.
- Career level targeted: Senior professionals with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
