SRE Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Hyderabad_Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting complex, large-scale distributed systems and be adept at managing production failures, performing root cause analysis, and driving effective remediation. This role requires excellent communication skills, expertise in monitoring, release management, and automation, along with the ability to learn quickly. You will provide 24/7 support to ensure the reliability and performance of critical Java, .NET, and Batch applications deployed across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor applications, services, and batch processes to ensure availability, responding promptly to any performance or availability issues.
- Conduct detailed code and log analysis, escalating issues to engineering teams when necessary.
- Lead technical efforts during outages, major incidents, or batch failures to restore services as quickly as possible.
- Manage incidents, problems, releases, and changes efficiently.
- Own and deliver sprint user stories, including debugging application code, analyzing issues, applying fixes, creating knowledge base articles, and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Execute production deployments using CI/CD pipelines and apply deployment strategies.
- Develop monitoring solutions using Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes, ITRS, AppMetrics, MoogSoft, and Kafka.
- Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency.
- Participate in post-deployment reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to enhance system stability and performance.

Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale production systems, including load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, microservices, and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application failures, performance degradation, cloud platform challenges, batch processing errors, infrastructure, database, and network failures.
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with scripting languages like Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms including PCF, GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively support applications in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment methodologies.
- Knowledge of APM tools and monitoring frameworks.
- Exposure to automation frameworks and tools.
- Industry certifications are preferred.
- A strong educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is advantageous.
