Static Equipment Design Engineer

The Static Equipment Design Engineer will play a critical role in the design and analysis of static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping components. This full-time, on-site position based in Lahore involves preparing detailed design calculations, developing technical specifications, reviewing engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The engineer will work closely with project teams, vendors, and fabrication shops to address technical queries and support procurement and manufacturing processes. Participation in design reviews, preparation of technical documentation, and contribution to quality and safety checks throughout the project lifecycle are essential aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical design and stress analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping components.
- Develop and review design calculations and technical specifications to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Review engineering drawings and documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and fabrication to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors and fabrication shops to clarify design requirements and address manufacturing concerns.
- Participate actively in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports and specifications.
- Support quality assurance and safety checks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure reliable and safe equipment design.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proven ability to perform mechanical design and stress analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping components.
- Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards, including ASME, API, or comparable international standards, and their practical application.
- Proficiency in engineering and drafting software commonly used for equipment design, such as CAD tools and calculation software.
- Strong skills in preparing technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and engineering drawing reviews.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and fabrication.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills to ensure safe and reliable designs.
