We are seeking a reliable and physically fit male Store Helper to support the daily operations of our factory store and warehouse. The successful candidate will assist in receiving, inspecting, arranging, counting, issuing, shifting, and maintaining materials and stock to ensure smooth workflow and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming materials, including yarn, packing materials, spare parts, and other factory items.
- Verify received items against delivery documents and promptly report any shortages, excesses, or damages to the Store Incharge.
- Arrange and stack materials neatly in designated storage locations.
- Assist in issuing materials based on approved requisitions.
- Support the Store Incharge during stock counting and physical inventory verification processes.
- Pick and prepare materials as required by different departments.
- Maintain proper identification, labeling, and organization of all store items.
- Assist with loading, unloading, shifting, and safe handling of materials.
- Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping standards within the store.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory management practices where applicable.
- Report any damaged, misplaced, or missing items immediately.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, security, attendance, and discipline.
- Perform any other store-related duties as assigned by the Store Incharge.
Required Qualifications
- Matriculation qualification is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a factory store, warehouse, textile, garments, gloves, or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of stock counting, material identification, and store documentation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials safely.
- Basic literacy skills to read item names, quantities, codes, and labels.
- Honest, punctual, responsible, and physically fit.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
Technical and Practical Skills
- Experience in material receiving and inspection.
- Proficiency in stock counting and physical inventory verification.
- Skilled in material issuing and picking.
- Competence in loading, unloading, and stacking materials.
- Knowledge of store organization and bin/location identification.
- Basic understanding of Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Requisition/Issue Slips, and stock record maintenance.
- Familiarity with FIFO and FEFO inventory management principles.
- Safe handling practices for factory materials.
Compensation
The monthly salary for this position ranges from Rs35,000 to Rs40,000.
