We are seeking a diligent and organized Store Keeper to manage the inventory of food items and related materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring proper storage conditions, and coordinating with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to minimize wastage while supporting efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory of food items and materials such as boxes, wrappers, containers, and labels.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure appropriate storage conditions for both perishable and non-perishable goods.
- Record incoming and outgoing stock accurately using manual registers or inventory management software.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Inspect the quality and quantity of received goods to meet established standards.
- Organize the warehouse or store layout to facilitate easy access and optimize workflow.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards related to food storage.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.
- Implement measures to minimize wastage, damage, and stock loss through proper handling and monitoring.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or equivalent).
- Proven experience in inventory management and stock control.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Excel and inventory systems.
- High attention to detail to maintain accuracy in stock records.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Store Keeper managing food products and related materials.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and maintain hygiene standards.
