Store Keeper

The Store Keeper will be responsible for efficiently managing the hospital’s inventory, ensuring smooth processing of departmental indents, and timely issuance of stock to various hospital departments. This role involves maintaining accurate records within the ERP system, preparing purchase requisitions, and collaborating closely with the Purchase Department. The Store Keeper will also monitor stock levels, check for expired items, and ensure proper item coding. Additionally, conducting regular stock audits, maintaining organized storage, and supervising store helpers are essential parts of this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily indents and issue stock to hospital departments promptly.
- Maintain and update inventory records and transactions in the ERP system accurately.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and coordinate effectively with the Purchase Department to ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor stock levels regularly, identify expired items, and maintain correct item coding for easy tracking.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Supervise and guide store helpers to ensure smooth store operations and adherence to procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum educational qualification of Intermediate level.
- Relevant experience in storekeeping or inventory management is essential.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity in ERP or inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good inventory control and record-keeping abilities.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise with different departments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A relevant diploma or higher qualification in inventory management or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment will be considered an advantage.

This is a full-time position based at BHY Hospital, located in Delhi Colony, Off Chaudhry Khaleeq-uz-Zaman Road, Block 8, Clifton, Karachi. The role requires working on-site to ensure hands-on management of the hospital’s inventory and store operations.
