Story Board Artist

Reelax Media, a dynamic video production company based in Karachi and serving clients across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, is seeking a talented Storyboard Artist. This full-time, on-site role is located in Gulshan, Karachi, with working hours from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming scripts and creative ideas into detailed visual plans that guide the Motion and Editing teams, ensuring a smooth production process and high-quality final videos.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret scripts and client briefs to create clear, scene-by-scene storyboards.
- Plan visuals, including shot composition, B-roll suggestions, on-screen text, and transitions for each scene.
- Design storyboards that enhance viewer engagement through strong hooks, pacing, and retention strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Content, Motion, and Editing teams to ensure the final output aligns with the storyboard.
- Revise storyboards based on client feedback and internal reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
- Adhere to each client’s brand style and guidelines throughout the storyboard development.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver storyboards on time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in creating storyboards for videos, animations, or short-form content.
- Strong visual thinking skills with a solid understanding of composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of pacing and retention techniques specific to platforms like Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and long-form content.
- Proficiency in sketching by hand or digitally using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Figma, or similar software.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to accurately interpret scripts and client briefs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with Motion Artists or Video Editors.
- Basic familiarity with After Effects or Premiere Pro.
- Previous work experience with international clients or within a fast-paced agency environment.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing a range of content styles and niches.

This role focuses on planning and visual design; advanced video editing skills are not required.

Applicants must submit a CV, a portfolio containing storyboard samples (mandatory for consideration), and a brief personal summary explaining their suitability for the role. The monthly salary ranges from PKR 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience.
