The Structural Design Engineer role is a full-time position based in the Lahore District, offering a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work meets safety, stability, and regulatory standards. Daily duties include performing structural calculations, preparing and reviewing detailed drawings, and coordinating closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering professionals. The role also involves providing technical guidance during design development and construction phases, reviewing design specifications to identify potential challenges, and proposing cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the engineer will support site teams by addressing structural queries, contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, and maintain thorough documentation for all assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and analyze structural elements for residential and commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Perform detailed structural calculations and prepare accurate drawings using CAD and AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and engineers to integrate structural design within overall project plans.
- Review design specifications to identify issues and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical support to site teams regarding structural concerns during construction.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all projects.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in design methodologies and workflows.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Strong expertise in structural analysis and engineering principles related to building design and evaluation.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering concepts, construction practices, materials, and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and AutoCAD for the preparation of structural drawings and models.
- Knowledge of local and international building codes and standards, with the ability to apply these in practical design scenarios.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate between site and office personnel.
