Structural Engineer (Bridges & Transportation), Lahore

Struvek specializes in engineering drafting, BIM modeling, and design support services for AEC firms, primarily focusing on structural building projects. The company is expanding its expertise into water, transportation, and industrial structures. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and design bridge superstructures and substructures, including girders, decks, bearings, abutments, piers, and foundations.
- Design culverts, retaining walls, and various transportation-related structures.
- Apply load models and load combinations in accordance with relevant bridge design codes.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive calculation packages and design markups for the modeling team to convert into drawings.
- Review drawings and models to ensure alignment with design specifications and identify any discrepancies.
- Provide daily progress updates and report any design risks directly to the company founder.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a structural focus.
- Between 3 to 7 years of hands-on structural design experience, specifically on bridges or transportation projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, STAAD, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD or equivalent bridge design codes, with a strong willingness to quickly learn AASHTO standards.
- Solid understanding of prestressed and reinforced concrete as well as steel girder design principles.
- Submission of examples showcasing previous design work or calculation packages is mandatory.
- Strong written English skills for preparing calculations and providing project updates.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Lahore.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with US Department of Transportation (DOT) bridge standards or projects based on AASHTO codes.
- Knowledge or experience in bridge rating or load rating procedures.
- Professional Engineering Council (PEC) registration or active progress toward obtaining it.
- Basic familiarity with Revit, Civil 3D, or AutoCAD to assist in reviewing drawings is an advantage.

- Competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 160,000 to 220,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
