Student Counselor

Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one counselling to students, advising them on suitable international study programs, institutions, and destinations based on their academic background and career aspirations.
- Assist students with application processes, admissions, and preparation of required documentation, ensuring adherence to deadlines and procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with students and their families to deliver updates, answer queries, and provide ongoing support throughout the counselling process.
- Conduct informative sessions and workshops to educate prospective students about study abroad opportunities and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and international partners to stay informed about admission criteria, scholarship opportunities, and evolving trends in global education.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service by addressing student needs empathetically and professionally.
- Manage multiple student cases efficiently while maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Strong skills in student and career counselling, with the ability to guide learners on academic pathways and future career options.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities to engage effectively with students, families, and partner institutions.
- Solid understanding of international education systems, including admission processes and higher education routes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Counselling, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in student advising, study abroad services, or academic counselling, preferably within an international education context.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and student-centred practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
