Edversity is seeking a highly connected Student Placement Specialist to lead the placement efforts for our students by securing jobs and internships with reputable employers. This role involves managing the entire placement cycle—from building and nurturing employer relationships to sourcing openings, matching candidates, preparing them for interviews, and successfully closing placements. The focus is almost entirely on placements, so a well-established network of HR and hiring contacts within leading companies is essential from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Employer Partnerships:
Develop and expand a strong pipeline of hiring partners across key sectors such as IT, telecom, banking, FMCG, and consulting. Leverage existing industry contacts to quickly open placement opportunities. Present Edversity’s talent pool to HR heads and hiring managers, negotiating placement agreements or memorandums of understanding (MoUs). Maintain ongoing communication with partners to encourage repeat hiring and long-term collaboration.
Placement Drives:
Identify and source job and internship openings, then match these opportunities with suitable candidates. Manage the coordination of shortlisting, interview scheduling, and follow-ups on offers with employers to ensure a smooth placement process.
Candidate Readiness:
Evaluate candidate profiles to identify any gaps in employability. Organize or conduct CV reviews, mock interviews, and workplace readiness sessions to prepare candidates effectively. Collect feedback from employers post-interview and share insights with candidates and the training team to facilitate continuous improvement.
Tracking and Reporting:
Keep an up-to-date database of employers, job openings, candidates, and placement outcomes. Provide monthly reports detailing placements made, the status of the partner pipeline, and employer feedback. Monitor post-placement retention and satisfaction levels for both candidates and employers to ensure long-term success.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage. Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in placement, corporate relations, talent acquisition, recruitment, or business development. Experience working with more than one reputable organization—such as corporates, recruitment firms, or university career offices—is essential. A strong, verifiable network of HR managers, talent acquisition leads, and hiring managers primarily in Islamabad/Rawalpindi is required, with contacts in Lahore and Karachi considered a plus. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of successful placements or hires, supported by measurable results. Willingness to travel locally for employer meetings and placement drives is necessary.
Skills and Competencies
Strong relationship-building and corporate networking abilities are critical. Candidates must possess persuasive communication and negotiation skills in both English and Urdu. A solid understanding of hiring processes and employer expectations for entry-level talent is important. Experience coordinating events and placement drives involving multiple stakeholders is required. The role demands a target-driven, self-starting approach with excellent follow-through. Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace is expected, and familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, job portals, or CRM/ATS systems is advantageous. Candidates should have a professional presence and the confidence to represent Edversity effectively to senior HR leaders.
This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the career paths of students by connecting them with leading employers and driving successful placements.
