Study Visa Consultant

Gulf Star Services is seeking a professional and confident Study Visa Consultant to join their team in Karachi on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves providing expert guidance to students interested in studying abroad by assessing their academic and financial profiles, recommending suitable courses and destinations, and assisting throughout the admission and visa application processes. The position requires strong knowledge of international education systems, admission criteria, and visa requirements. The working hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9:45 AM to 6:30 PM, offering a competitive salary along with commission and performance incentives.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students on study abroad opportunities, including universities, colleges, programs, and destinations.
- Assess students’ academic backgrounds, financial situations, study plans, and eligibility for various programs.
- Recommend appropriate courses, institutions, and countries based on individual student profiles.
- Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarship options, visa regulations, and application procedures.
- Assist students in completing university and college applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Guide students in preparing Statements of Purpose (SOPs), personal statements, financial documents, and other visa-related paperwork.
- Coordinate with students and internal teams to manage the admission and visa processing stages efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date student records, application statuses, and follow-ups using CRM systems.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective students to convert inquiries into confirmed applications.
- Stay informed about changes in university admission criteria, study programs, and visa policies.
- Professionally handle inquiries from students and parents, providing timely updates and maintaining confidentiality.
- Meet assigned targets related to consultations, admissions, conversions, and sales.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Previous experience in roles such as Study Visa Consultant, Education Counselor, Student Counselor, or Admission Officer is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of popular study destinations including the UK, Canada, Australia, USA, Europe, or other international education markets.
- Solid understanding of university admission processes and student visa requirements.
- Excellent communication, counseling, presentation, and client management skills.
- Ability to accurately assess student profiles and recommend suitable educational pathways.
- Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining detailed student records.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu languages.
- Competency in MS Office applications.
- Target-driven, well-organized, and confident in engaging with students and parents.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
- Experience in education consultancy, study visa, immigration, or travel-related sectors is an advantage.
