We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Officer or Master holding a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of sailing experience in the capacity of Chief Officer or Master within the last seven years, specifically on Foreign Going (FG) vessels such as General Cargo, Container, or Tanker ships. This role requires a seasoned professional with a solid maritime background and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the deck department operations to ensure safe and efficient vessel navigation and cargo handling.
- Serve as Chief Officer or Master, responsible for the overall command and operational readiness of the vessel.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
- Supervise crew performance, conduct training, and maintain discipline on board.
- Coordinate with port authorities and agents during vessel arrival and departure.
- Maintain accurate records related to vessel operations, safety drills, and cargo documentation.
- Implement safety management systems and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor the maintenance and repair of deck equipment and ensure the vessel’s seaworthiness.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck.
- Minimum of one year sailing experience as Chief Officer or Master within the last seven years.
- Experience on Foreign Going General Cargo, Container, or Tanker vessels.
- At least 7 years of total maritime experience.
- Maximum age limit of 57 years.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a ship’s deck department effectively.
