We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the entire supply chain process within a dynamic furniture manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory, production planning, warehousing, and logistics to ensure seamless operations. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, supplier management, and the ability to implement effective strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished goods, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, production planning, warehousing, and logistics management.
- Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Plan and monitor procurement activities for wood, MDF/plywood, hardware, laminates, fabrics, foam, accessories, packaging materials, and other furniture-related components.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Quality departments to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to minimize excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Monitor material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts to avoid disruptions.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, quality standards, lead times, and payment terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient material movement, and proper storage practices.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products to customers.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, and supplier performance.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure accurate documentation and system-based tracking of purchasing, inventory, and material movement.
- Prepare regular management reports highlighting performance metrics and opportunities for improving efficiency and optimizing working capital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the furniture, wood, interior, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehouse management, and logistics.
- Proven experience in supplier management and conducting procurement negotiations.
- Proficient understanding of ERP or software-based inventory and supply chain systems.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
