We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the entire supply chain process within a dynamic furniture manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory, production planning, warehousing, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery. This role requires strong coordination across multiple departments and a strategic approach to supply chain management to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, production planning, warehousing, and logistics.
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Plan and monitor procurement activities for wood, MDF/plywood, hardware, laminates, fabrics, foam, accessories, packaging materials, and other furniture-related materials.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Quality departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Monitor material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, quality standards, lead times, and payment terms.
- Track supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, proper material movement, and adherence to storage best practices.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products to customers.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supplier performance.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure accurate documentation and system-based tracking of purchasing, inventory, and material movement.
- Prepare regular management reports highlighting performance and opportunities for efficiency improvements and working capital optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in furniture, wood, interior, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehouse management, and logistics.
- Proven experience in supplier management and procurement negotiations.
- Familiarity with ERP or software-based inventory and supply chain management systems.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and communication abilities.
- Capability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
