HRBS is recruiting on behalf of a client for the position of System Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s server infrastructure across multiple platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with both physical and virtual servers, ensuring system reliability, security, and optimal performance. The candidate will work closely with IT teams to support virtualization, cloud environments, and web services, while also handling disaster recovery and troubleshooting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform server troubleshooting and implement disaster recovery plans for both physical and virtual servers.
- Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, and manage cloud services including Huawei Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
- Support DevOps initiatives by working with Kubernetes and serverless technologies to streamline deployment and operations.
- Configure and maintain web servers, handle website hosting, and deploy web applications efficiently.
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates to ensure secure communications across systems.
- Oversee server roles and services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and file servers to support organizational needs.
- Apply networking knowledge to maintain network connectivity and troubleshoot related issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BSc) specializing in Electronics, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Proven experience working with Windows Server, Linux, and Unix systems.
- Strong understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with server roles, networking concepts, and web hosting fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, or VCP are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Candidates with experience in managing multi-cloud environments and serverless architectures will stand out.
