Talking Head Video Editor

Team Zealancy is seeking a talented YouTube Video Editor with expertise in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative ideas into captivating, high-retention YouTube content. This full-time onsite role is based in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on skill level, portfolio, experience, and trial performance. The position primarily involves editing documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos, with a focus on creating engaging narratives supported by motion graphics and AI-enhanced visuals. The selection process emphasizes portfolio quality and creative execution over formal titles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI.
- Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing and motion design to ensure visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into compelling visual sequences.
- Understand and replicate editing styles accurately without mere imitation.
- Apply basic graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of motion design, animation, pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Knowledge of basic color correction and grading techniques.
- Skilled in B-roll selection and visual storytelling.
- Effective project organization and asset management abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows, including familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar platforms.
- Strong judgment regarding visual consistency, realism, continuity, and quality when integrating AI-generated assets.
- Solid understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention strategies.
- Ability to analyze and explain why certain editing decisions work.
- Good English comprehension for working with English-language scripts.
- Capability to make purposeful creative decisions rather than applying effects arbitrarily.
- Experience translating scripts and abstract ideas into strong AI-assisted visual sequences.
- Familiarity with creator-led content styles, such as those by Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.
