Riaz Ahmad, Saqib, Gohar & Co. Chartered Accountants is seeking a dedicated Tax Compliance & Advisory Executive to join their Taxation team based in Karachi. The successful candidate will gain practical experience across tax compliance, advisory, research, planning, representation, and litigation while working closely with experienced Chartered Accountants and tax professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Handle and review tax compliance assignments in line with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review income tax and sales tax returns, statements, reconciliations, and related filings.
- Conduct tax research and analyze the tax implications of transactions and business matters.
- Prepare tax computations, working papers, opinions, responses, and correspondence.
- Assist in providing tax advisory, consultancy, and tax planning services to clients.
- Prepare responses to tax notices, assessments, and departmental correspondence.
- Monitor amendments in tax laws, rules, SROs, circulars, notifications, and other regulatory developments.
- Represent and assist clients before tax authorities regarding assessments, notices, audits, appeals, tax litigation, and other proceedings as required.
- Liaise professionally with clients, tax authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
- Support managers and senior team members on complex tax compliance, advisory, planning, and litigation assignments.
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Maintain complete and properly documented assignment files and working papers.
Required Qualifications
- CA Finalist with completed CA Articleship.
- Practical exposure to taxation is preferred.
- Sound understanding of Pakistan’s income tax and sales tax laws and regulations.
- Strong interest in building a long-term career in taxation.
- Relevant experience in tax compliance, advisory, research, representation, or litigation is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Good analytical, communication, documentation, and client-handling skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with prior hands-on experience in tax compliance and advisory roles will be preferred. This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
