We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax & Compliance Executive with practical experience in Pakistani taxation and local statutory compliance. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Pakistan’s tax laws, including familiarity with FBR processes, IRIS, withholding tax, sales tax, and other regulatory requirements. This role demands hands-on involvement in tax filings, reconciliations, and coordination with government authorities to ensure full compliance with applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and file Personal and Corporate Income Tax Returns in accordance with Pakistani tax regulations.
- Manage FBR-related matters such as Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, and respond to tax notices effectively.
- Conduct monthly and annual tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns, statutory returns, and other compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with FBR and other relevant government bodies on taxation and compliance issues.
- Assist in tax planning, maintain tax documentation, and uphold proper compliance records.
- Maintain accurate tax and statutory records for internal use and audit purposes.
- Support both external and internal audits by providing necessary tax documentation and information.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, ACCA, CA (Part Qualified), ICMA, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Pakistani taxation and tax compliance.
- Strong practical knowledge of Pakistan’s tax laws and regulatory framework.
- Experience working with FBR IRIS system is essential.
- Good understanding of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax in Pakistan.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and attention to detail in documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) compliance.
- Familiarity with EOBI and PESSI/Social Security regulations.
- Knowledge of SECP compliance requirements.
- Experience in payroll taxation and withholding tax management.
- Proven ability to handle FBR notices and tax-related correspondence efficiently.

Candidates must have direct experience in Pakistani/local taxation. Those with only general accounting knowledge, international taxation, or experience outside Pakistan will not be considered. This position requires on-site work to ensure close coordination with internal teams and regulatory authorities.
