Team Lead (Full Stack)

This role requires an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in both frontend and backend technologies, capable of leading end-to-end development efforts. The ideal candidate will be proficient in React.js for building scalable user interfaces and ASP.NET Core Web API for backend services, with a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server for database management. Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools is mandatory to enhance productivity and code quality. The position demands a hands-on leader who can manage development workflows, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively within a government IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full stack development by delivering robust solutions across React (frontend) and .NET (backend) layers. Design and implement RESTful APIs using ADO.NET and SQL Server, ensuring secure authentication, authorization, and error handling. Develop reusable React components utilizing modern patterns such as hooks, context API, and lazy loading. Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support business logic and reporting needs.

Integrate AI-assisted development tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalents as a core part of the workflow. Promote AI-augmented coding practices within the team to maximize efficiency in code generation, debugging, documentation, and test case creation.

Manage version control through Git, including feature branching, Git Flow, and pull request code reviews. Configure and maintain Docker environments using multi-stage Dockerfiles and docker-compose for consistent local development and deployment. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and automation testing using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.

Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups. Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards across the stack. Mentor junior developers through pair programming and knowledge sharing. Collaborate closely with UX designers, QA engineers, and business analysts to translate requirements into functional software. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including API contracts, data flow diagrams, and deployment runbooks.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field from a recognized university. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on full stack development experience, with at least 4 years in a senior developer or team lead role. Proven expertise in React.js, ASP.NET Core Web API, and Microsoft SQL Server. Strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns such as Repository, Factory, Singleton, and Service Layer architecture. Experience with dependency injection, middleware, JWT authentication, and data access via Dapper or ADO.NET. Proficiency in Git version control with feature branching and pull request workflows. Daily use of AI coding assistants is mandatory. Familiarity with Docker multi-stage builds and docker-compose. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools. Demonstrated ability to debug and analyze issues across frontend, backend, and database layers. Strong ownership mindset and adaptability to evolving requirements, especially within government IT environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
