Innovative Code Lab is seeking a dedicated Team Lead to join our remote software development team. This role involves guiding a cross-functional group through the entire product lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prioritizing tasks, reviewing code, and ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and quality standards. Collaboration with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and align development efforts with business objectives is a key part of this position. Additionally, the Team Lead will mentor team members, promote continuous improvement, and monitor project progress to meet deadlines and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a software development team, including task planning, delegation, and providing performance feedback.
- Oversee the design and implementation of software features, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate closely with product stakeholders to clarify requirements, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of features.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain team productivity.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep development on track.
- Promote the use of modern technologies and development methodologies to enhance product performance and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software development teams, including planning, delegation, and performance management.
- Strong software engineering background with proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to web, mobile, or cloud applications.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in code review processes and maintaining high standards of software quality.
- Experience working independently in a remote environment with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
