The role involves leading the Maintenance Team to effectively execute mechanical maintenance strategies, including Time-Based Maintenance, Condition-Based Monitoring, and Periodic Overhauls for both Potato Chip and Non-Potato Chip production lines. The primary goal is to reduce downtime systematically while ensuring the availability of necessary spares. Additionally, the position requires leadership in driving the Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and KAIZAN programs. The role also supports close coordination and execution of process-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the operational condition of equipment through regular mechanical maintenance activities such as Condition-Based, Time-Based, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Act as the coordinator for the Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT) pillar within the TPM framework.
- Develop and manage the Mechanical Preventive Maintenance (PM) calendar, ensuring timely execution of TPM, Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and Periodic Overhaul plans.
- Perform data analysis on equipment breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to identify and implement downtime reduction projects.
- Establish and maintain a Condition-Based Maintenance system, including vibration analysis, temperature logging, and load recording.
- Lead mechanical skill enhancement initiatives aligned with Training Needs Analysis (TNA), developing and cascading training modules to Process Operators and Mechanical Artisans.
- Manage and develop third-party mechanical maintenance teams and contractors responsible for maintenance and project execution in the process area.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
- Oversee spare parts availability and lead cost and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Manage the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) agenda by scheduling and closing all PM work orders, reconciling downtime, and monitoring technical utilization.
- Drive the Planned Equipment Maintenance Management (PEMM) agenda for the engineering function.
- Maintain and implement AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards in collaboration with the Food Safety Manager.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and support Maintenance Managers in daily operations, including providing coverage during their absence.
- Comply with and promote EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), HR, Industrial Relations (IR), Employee Relations (ER), and Food Safety regulations and principles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
