The role involves leading the Maintenance Team to effectively execute mechanical maintenance strategies, including Time-Based Maintenance, Condition-Based Monitoring, and Periodic Overhauls for both Potato Chip and Non-Potato Chip production lines. The primary objective is to reduce downtime systematically by ensuring equipment reliability and spares availability. Additionally, the position requires leading key initiatives such as Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and KAIZAN programs. Close collaboration with project teams is essential to support and coordinate maintenance-related project execution within the process area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the operational condition of mechanical equipment through regular maintenance activities, including Condition-Based, Time-Based, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Act as the coordinator for the CILT pillar within the TPM framework, ensuring all cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening activities are executed effectively.
- Develop and manage the Mechanical Preventive Maintenance (PM) calendar, ensuring timely execution of TPM, Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM), and Periodic Overhaul plans.
- Analyze breakdown data and conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement downtime reduction projects.
- Establish and maintain a Condition-Based Maintenance system incorporating vibration analysis, temperature logging, and load monitoring.
- Lead mechanical skill development initiatives aligned with Training Needs Analysis (TNA), including the creation and delivery of training modules for Production Operators and Mechanical Artisans.
- Manage and develop third-party mechanical maintenance teams and contractors responsible for maintenance and project execution in the process area.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and lead cost and inventory optimization efforts.
- Manage the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) agenda by scheduling and closing all PM work orders, reconciling downtime, and monitoring technical utilization.
- Lead the Planned Equipment Maintenance Management (PEMM) agenda for the engineering department.
- Maintain and implement AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards in collaboration with the Food Safety Manager.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
- Provide support to Maintenance Managers in daily operations and act as their backup during absences.
- Comply with and promote adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Human Resources (HR), Industrial Relations (IR), Employee Relations (ER), and Food Safety regulations and principles.
Required Qualifications
