As part of this ambitious journey, Pakistan Tobacco Company is seeking a motivated and skilled Team Lead - SMD to join their team in Akora Khattak, Pakistan. Key Responsibilities

The Team Lead will be responsible for scheduling and controlling shift operations to meet daily and monthly production targets effectively. Ensuring scheduled downtime and smooth machine operations is critical to achieving the Master Production Schedule and supporting the Integrated Work System (IWS) philosophy. The role demands manufacturing high-quality products by meeting or exceeding quality targets related to Q2S and Q2C, following established quality processes.

Continuous process improvement is essential to reduce or eliminate market complaints and maintain product integrity. The Team Lead will deploy the workforce efficiently according to the agreed crewing pattern to achieve desired output levels. Achieving outstanding results in process reliability, managing both planned and unplanned downtime, and meeting production schedules are key performance indicators.

Additionally, the Team Lead will lead root cause analysis and resolution of chronic production stops on the shop floor. Leading the Shift Transition Meeting in line with the Site Daily Direction System (DDS) and Daily Management System (DMS) is also part of the role.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience in managing operations, whether through internships or employment ranging from six months to one year, is considered an advantage. A strong technical understanding of machine build, technical drawings, and electrical systems is essential.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to mentor and develop team members on the shop floor. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities are necessary to thrive in this role. The capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, unionized, and digitally-focused environment is important.

Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate will be considered a plus.
