The role involves working in various shifts while leading and supervising the assigned nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient care. The appointee will provide direct bedside nursing care and perform additional duties as outlined in the job description. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to coordinate nursing activities effectively within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, monitor, and support the assigned nursing team during shifts to maintain quality patient care.
- Deliver bedside nursing care in accordance with hospital protocols and patient needs.
- Oversee nursing documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
- Participate in staff training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Manage shift operations, including delegation of tasks and resolving any issues that arise during the shift.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety guidelines.
- Assist in audit processes and quality improvement initiatives related to nursing services.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Pakistan.
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery with a relevant specialization.
- Alternatively, a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, with or without specialization.
- Minimum of 5 years total work experience in nursing, including at least 2 years in a senior nursing role such as Staff Nurse-III, Official Shift Leader, Chart Audit Nurse, Head Nurse, or Supervisory Nursing position within a reputable hospital.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Post RN BSN qualification is considered advantageous and will be preferred.
