We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a busy automotive workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive technology and proven supervisory experience. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality repair and maintenance work, and maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment. The supervisor will coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and uphold company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage daily workshop operations and team activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Assign tasks to technicians based on their skills and current workload to optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor repair and maintenance work closely to guarantee quality and timely completion of jobs.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues when necessary, providing hands-on support to the team.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools, equipment, and resources.
- Track team performance, attendance, and productivity, addressing any issues proactively.
- Enforce compliance with workshop safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inspect completed jobs to ensure vehicles meet the required quality standards before delivery.
- Coordinate effectively with the Workshop Manager, service advisors, and other departments to streamline operations.
- Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, repairs, and job progress for reporting and analysis.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians to enhance their technical skills and improve overall work efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the workshop.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Automotive Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an automotive workshop, with a preference for candidates who have held supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent team management and communication skills to lead and motivate workshop staff effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to handle technical and operational challenges.
- Familiarity with workshop safety procedures and quality standards to ensure compliance and high service quality.
