The Technical Director for the Model Laboratory School 2026-27 theatrical production will play a vital role in supporting the creative and technical aspects of the show. This part-time, seasonal position involves managing sound, lighting, set construction, and other production elements to ensure a smooth and professional theatrical experience. The role is based at the Richmond Campus and requires intermittent hours, typically less than 20 hours per week, without benefits. This position is classified as non-exempt and does not involve driving responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate technical elements of the theatrical production, including sound, lighting, and set design.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to address technical challenges and ensure all aspects of the show meet quality standards.
- Manage setup, operation, and breakdown of technical equipment during rehearsals and performances.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines during production activities.
- Support the creative vision of the production by providing technical expertise and problem-solving assistance.

Required Qualifications
- Experience in technical direction or a related field within theatrical production.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with cast, crew, and production staff.
- Availability for intermittent, part-time work during the production schedule.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on musical productions is highly desirable.
