Technical Lead – Forward Deployed Engineering (AI & Digital)

Python Technologies is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in software engineering, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and enterprise technology. Our teams design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions that help organizations enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Forward Deployed Engineering (AI & Digital) for a full-time, onsite role at our DHA Islamabad office. This position involves leading the architecture, development, and deployment of advanced AI-powered and enterprise digital solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Engineering Management: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including software engineers, AI specialists, and cloud experts. Provide technical direction throughout the software development lifecycle, establish engineering standards, conduct design and code reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps and delivery strategies. Identify and mitigate technical risks effectively.

Forward Deployed Engineering: Drive the design, customization, and deployment of technology solutions within enterprise environments. Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical specifications. Oversee prototyping, proof-of-concept development, production deployment, and post-deployment optimization. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure solutions meet business, performance, and security expectations.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineering: Lead the development and integration of AI applications, machine learning models, and intelligent automation. Design generative AI solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI orchestration frameworks. Evaluate and integrate AI services and platforms, develop scalable AI pipelines, and collaborate with data engineering teams to maintain data quality and governance. Promote responsible AI practices including model evaluation and risk management.

Software Architecture & Application Development: Design scalable, maintainable, and secure architectures for enterprise applications. Lead backend development with Python and modern frameworks, implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Manage integration with cloud services, databases, and third-party platforms. Ensure application reliability through automated testing and continuous improvement, supporting modernization and cloud migration efforts.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps: Architect and deploy solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, establish CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on monitoring and observability. Optimize cloud resource use and ensure compliance with security and governance policies.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Solution Delivery: Act as the primary technical contact for engineering initiatives and enterprise deployments. Partner with product managers, business analysts, and architects to define project scope and requirements. Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, provide technical estimates and documentation, support Agile processes, and ensure timely delivery of quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Extensive experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, and technical solution architecture. Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects. Strong proficiency in Python and modern development frameworks. Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and AI/ML technologies. Solid understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, and databases (relational and NoSQL). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work onsite full-time at DHA Islamabad during the 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM shift.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines. Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, or similar AI frameworks. Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, embeddings, and RAG architectures. Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, and frontend technologies like React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure automation, enterprise data engineering platforms, and MLOps. Relevant certifications in cloud architecture, AI engineering, or software development are a plus.

This role offers a collaborative work environment at Python Technologies’ DHA Islamabad office, with a competitive monthly salary range of Rs180,000 to Rs200,000. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite during the specified shift aligning with USA time zones.
