Technical Lead (Web & Mobile Development)

QF Network is seeking an experienced Technical Lead (Web & Mobile) to guide our software development team, oversee technical architecture, and ensure the successful delivery of multiple client projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in software architecture, code reviews, technical decision-making, and managing teams of 10 to 20+ developers. This senior leadership role demands deep engineering knowledge combined with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture & Project Planning: Lead the technical planning and approve architecture for web and mobile projects. Select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, databases, and system designs. Establish scalable application architectures, database structures, and coding standards. Identify technical risks, scalability issues, and integration challenges early in the development cycle.

Code Review & Quality Assurance: Review and approve code and pull requests before projects proceed to QA. Ensure code quality, security, performance, maintainability, and compliance with development standards. Define Git workflows, code review processes, testing guidelines, and deployment standards. Detect architectural weaknesses, technical debt, and recurring issues.

Development Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership to a team of approximately 20 developers across web and mobile platforms. Mentor engineers at all levels, resolve technical roadblocks, and maintain consistent engineering practices. Collaborate with project managers to align timelines and development priorities.

Multi-Project Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical execution of multiple projects concurrently. Assess project requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and recommend effective solutions. Identify risks early and support their timely resolution. Ensure uniformity in architecture, engineering standards, and delivery quality across projects.

Technical Research & Client Collaboration: Investigate emerging technologies, frameworks, AI solutions, and third-party integrations. Develop quick proofs of concept to validate approaches. Support project managers and sales teams with technical estimations, solution planning, and proposal reviews. Participate in client meetings to discuss technical requirements and implementation challenges.

Required Qualifications

- Over 7 years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead or Engineering Team Lead role.
- Proven experience managing or supervising teams of 10+ developers across multiple projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in modern web technologies such as React.js, Next.js, Node.js, PHP, and Laravel.
- Practical experience with mobile development frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, system integrations, and scalable application architecture.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Proficient in Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to establish engineering standards and maintain code quality in agency, software house, or product development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AI/LLM integrations, AI-powered applications, and API-based automation.
- Background in developing SaaS platforms, Shopify applications, or complex third-party integrations.
- Previous work experience with clients in the US, UK, or Europe.
- Experience in a software development agency environment managing multiple concurrent client projects.

This is a leadership role focused on technical ownership rather than individual contribution. Candidates should have a proven track record of independently making architectural decisions, reviewing code across projects, guiding teams, and ensuring engineering excellence.
