Technical SEO Specialist

An established Australian trading firm is seeking an experienced SEO specialist to enhance the online presence of its brands, including the founder’s personal brand. The primary focus of this role is to improve search engine rankings on Google and secure citations across emerging AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Claude. This position requires a strategic approach to SEO that combines technical expertise with content optimization to ensure the brands are prominently recognized and recommended by AI answer engines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute technical and on-page SEO strategies, including comprehensive keyword research and the creation of detailed content briefs.
- Optimize website content and implement schema markup to increase the likelihood of the brands being cited and recommended by AI-driven platforms.
- Develop and maintain a strong backlink profile to enhance the brands’ online authority, focusing on Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T).
- Monitor and analyze search rankings, website traffic, and AI citation metrics, providing detailed monthly performance reports.
- Communicate daily progress through a morning plan and an evening summary outlining completed tasks and next steps.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ proven experience in SEO, demonstrating measurable success in improving search rankings and online visibility.
- Familiarity with Geographic SEO (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) principles.
- Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
