We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist specializing in Hematology to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing advanced hematology tests and maintaining high standards of laboratory accuracy and safety. This full-time position involves working on a rotational shift basis, including morning, evening, and night duties, and requires in-person attendance at the designated location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specialized hematology testing such as flow cytometry, minimal residual disease (MRD) analysis, lymphocyte subset profiling, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS) testing, platelet glycoprotein analysis, osmotic fragility tests, and CD4 cell counts, strictly following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct daily quality control activities, participate in External Quality Assessment (EQA), CAP proficiency testing, and routine instrument maintenance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
- Ensure timely processing and reporting of test results while adhering to turnaround times, SOP compliance, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory instruments, collaborate with biomedical and vendor teams for equipment repairs or servicing, and maintain detailed maintenance and service records.
- Manage reagents, kits, consumables, and inventory efficiently, maintain departmental data, and support audit preparations, CAP compliance, and departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BS - MLT) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of clinical laboratory experience, specifically within Special Hematology in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including morning, evening, and night schedules.
- Availability to work on-site in Karachi.
